British-born singer songwriter Paul Haidon has built a reputation that stems from a rare and open honesty and vulnerability that is spoken through his music and has earned him a fan base in both the UK and the USA.
Now, after dedicating his time to touring and working on collaborative projects with bands and solo artists - which has seen Paul’s music span almost a decade - he is working on his promised and long anticipated debut solo album, due for release in spring 2010.
This will represent a departure from years of playing festivals and gigs in both the UK and USA, captivating audiences with his vocals, lyrical storytelling and accomplished guitar playing, honing his craft and positioning him as one of the must-see acoustic acts.
Paul explained, ‘I’m really enjoying putting this album together and I see it as both a new chapter in my song writing journey and a thank you to all my fans that turn out to my gigs and have supported me over the years’. This album will see Paul working with the likes of Robin Stout of Medina Sound fame and the Scrub Jays Dan O’Neil.
Paul’s music draws upon personal experiences and emotions, creating an autobiographical trail that leads right back to his childhood. Influenced by the likes of John Martyn, Van Morrison and Ray Lamontagne, his music is a varied mix of folk, blues and popular music, all stirred up into a rich musical cocktail that will never fail to satisfy your appetite.
